GOALS AT CAMP

This camp requests that we send in, 2 weeks in advance, a list of what activities and merit badges each scout wishes to do. A small packet of information about the camp and merit badges has been available at meetings throughout May and will continue to be available. Do you have yours? Listen at the meetings for announcements about summer camp planning. We want to get our requests in to make sure each scout gets the activities he is most interested in.

CAMP CHAWANAKEE PERMISSION SLIPS

Permission slips specifically for this camp have also been available at meetings throughout May. Have you picked up one?

I will be out of town for about 10 days at the end of this month. So any forms and/or questions you can get to me early would be helpful. Please feel to call or email or catch me at a meeting. Beth 499-1987

This is the first e-mail I am sending regarding the Troop 848 sojourn to Camp Chawanakee 3 to 9 August. After this note I will be sending them from my computer. The address there is: padre@iwvisp.com.

Below is a list of Merit Badges that are being offered at Camp Chawanakee this summer. We are required to inform the Camp what Merit Badges we will be pursuing two weeks prior to arrival at camp. The means all selections will be needed to be made by the Troop meeting 21 July. Earlier would be appreciated. Bolded Merit Badges are Eagle required (if it keeps after sending). The number following the Merit Badge is the level of effort / difficulty assigned by the Camp. Some Merit Badges have prerequisites. I do not know what they may be. However, at Monday's troop meeting I will have handouts.

Permission slips are also required for some events. I would recommend a permission slip be filled out on a "just in case" basis. That way we will have it available.

Medical examinations need to be current. High Adventure events require a current year medical. Others need a three-year exam. Forms will be available at the Troop meeting.
